The lodge offers the ultimate safari and relaxation location on the river bank in the bushveld, and this well-known region is renowned for its prolific game ranches, bird-watching and fishing.Makoppas Nest River Lodge is surrounded by privately owned game reserves, and features luxury chalets, a conference centre, fully licensed restaurant, and a cosy bar. The ranch hosts over 40 species of game, including giraffe, zebra, kudu, gemsbok, crocodile, and leopard. There are also over 300 wild African bird species such as the fish eagle, saddle billed stork, kori bustard and crimson breasted shrike.
Makoppas Nest offers accommodation in fully equipped self-catering chalets on the bank of the river. Each chalet features a veranda from where you can enjoy the peaceful and beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
This is an ideal location for the whole family. Guests can enjoy getting a nice bushveld tan next to our sparkling swimming pool, or simply relax and enjoy the beauty of this amazing piece of nature.
