Originally designed by famous Art Deco architect Morris Lapidus, DoubleTree by Hilton Metropolitan completed a $25 million transformation project in summer 2012 which restored this landmark hotel to its former glory. Grand Central Terminal and all major bus and subway lines are within walking distance.The hotel offers 764 guest rooms, including 22 suites with contemporary, sleek décor and modern in-room amenities such as a 37-inch flat screen TV and large work desk with ergonomic chair. Met Grill is the hotel’s restaurant open for breakfast. Met Bar is a lively lounge located in the lobby.
