Mnarani Beach Cottages is a beach resort hotel, located on the northernmost tip of Zanzibar Island in the village of Nungwi, next to the old lighthouse. ?Mnarani? means ?lighthouse? in Swahili.At Mnarani Beach we offer excellent accommodation suitable for honeymooners as well as families and couples looking for a wonderfully relaxing break. After climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or taking a lengthy safari trip, this is the ideal place to relax. At Mnarani you will be able to develop the art of doing nothing on a beautiful beach.
However, there are also plenty of activity available, from spectacular snorkelling, diving, fishing and sailing to many interesting half and full day excursions on the island of Zanzibar. And although being very peaceful and secluded, our hotel is in walking distance to the lively village of Nungwi.

Unit Amenities
- We have 4 family cottages that are more spacious than the standard rooms. They are perfect for couples who need space or families. They are en-suite with hot and cold water and 2 of them have an adjoining door for extended families or groups.
- There is an open-plan ground floor with sitting area, a small kitchen area with a sink and fridge, and coffee & tea facilities. On the first floor mezzanine, there is a double bedroom and space for extra beds on the ground floor. Each cottage can accommodate up to four people and is decorated in local style.
- Each cottage has a spacious balcony on both floors overlooking the sea, where the sunrise can be viewed over the glistening Indian Ocean.

- * In Zanzibar we love seafood ? and our restaurant reflects this. Our fish is freshly caught every morning, and comes to us from the local fish market or direct from local fishermen. We like to prepare it for you in traditional Swahili style, and serve it in the open air. If we have more than 30 guests, there is a beach barbecue, too.
- * Mnarani Beach Cottages now offers an attractive 56 ft by 28 ft swimming pool with relaxing massage jets in the shallow water area. In the deeper area you can swim and refresh. Or just wind down at the pool side with a cocktail or two. At night our soft lighting allows you to take a swim whilst watching the sun go down listening to the sound of the waves.
